The Lament Protocol is a mixed reality and VR rogue-like horror experience inspired by cosmic horror, ritual geometry, and psychological descent. The experience begins in your real environment using Meta mixed reality. A strange puzzle cube materializes before you — mechanical, ancient, and alive. As you manipulate its shifting surfaces, hidden mechanisms awaken. Corners twist. Symbols align. Sections pull apart. The room around you begins to distort. Then the wall cracks open. Crossing the threshold pulls the player from reality into a massive procedural labyrinth existing beyond normal space — a multi-layered maze of brutalist stone architecture slowly consumed by flesh and living tissue. The deeper you descend, the maze changes, the creatures become more grotesque, and the world itself begins responding to your presence. You are not exploring a dungeon. You are entering a machine.
